課程概述

1. 本課程為「中級二」程度，本學期上課範圍為《新版實用視聽華語 (4) 》（第三版）
第一課到第九課。
This course uses the textbook “Practical Audio-Visual Chinese 4” (L1~L9) to help students develop proficient language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing that would enable them to communicate effectively in their daily lives. Through the course, students will further understand Taiwanese culture and language.

2. 本課程授課語言以中文為主，英文為輔。
The class will be mainly given in Chinese.

課程目標

本課程目標為訓練外籍生華語聽、說、讀、寫各方面的能力，能與人討論較複雜的主題，如經濟、交通、社會文化等。

課程要求

1. 請勿遲到、早退。*注意：遲到二十分鐘就算缺課一小時，平時成績會被扣分。
Attend the class on time. Don’t leave class earlier than scheduled time.
2. 上課時學生不說英文或其他非中文語言。
Use Chinese exclusively in class. Other languages are not allowed.
3. 上課時學生不該做其他事情，如寫功課、聊天、睡覺等與課程進行無關的事。需參與課堂活動，聽老師及同學的發言和討論。
Students should not write homework or do other things that are not related to the course, such as chatting with classmates or sleeping during class hour. It’s essential to participate in the classroom activity and class discussion.
4.除了查字典以外，上課時不能使用手機、電腦等電子產品。
No cell phone, laptop, Ipad, electronic dictionary and any electronic devices are allowed in class.
5. 上課時可以喝水、喝飲料，但不能吃東西。
No food in class, but drinking water or soft drinks is allowed in class.
6. 應準時繳交作業，遲交該份作業成績扣10分，且應在一周內補交，超過規定時間視同未交。作業應寫在Ａ4紙上繳交。
All assignments must be handed in on time. 10 points will be deducted for late homework. Assignments not received within one week past the due date will receive a grade of ZERO. Please write your homework on A4 paper.
7.課堂中有許多生詞解釋或是問題討論，所以學生上課前一定要先預習生詞，才能在上課的時候提供意見並參與討論。
Preview the content before every class.
8.違反以上規定皆會影響學期成績。違反一次規定就扣平時表現成績一分。
You will lose one point of scores of Attendance and Performance each time for violation of class regulations.
9.期中考與期末考僅病假者能延後考試，但須附上醫生證明。若因個人因素需要提早考期末考，期末考成績將以九成計算，滿分最高只有90分。
The mid-term and final exams can only be postponed due to health issues, a doctor's certificate must be attached. If you need to take the final exam earlier due to personal factors, the final exam score will be calculated at 90%, with a maximum score of only 90 points.

1.	出席率 Attendance	15%	(1) 出缺席成績(attendance)：10% A. 遲到或早退20分鐘都以缺席1小時計。 Late for class more than 20 minutes or leave class 20 minutes earlier than scheduled time will be regarded as one-hour absence. B. 一個學期有6小時沒來上課，老師不會扣分。從第7個小時開始，1個小時扣0.5分。 Students won’t lose any point if they are absent within 6 hours. However, students will lose 0.5 points per hour from the 7th hour. C. 如果需要請假，請先寫信跟老師說，病假例外。請假3個小時扣1分。 If students need to take a day off, please tell the instructor in advance. Except for sick leave. Students will lose 1 point every 3 hours.
2.	上課表現 Performance	10%	這個部分的成績跟你上課的時候是不是聽老師說話、做老師給的活動、還有是不是常常不來上課有關係。 The students are graded according to the performance in class. Answering questions in Chinese, joining the discussion and practicing in class will help you to get high scores. However, this score would be deducted if the students were absent too many times, or absent without informing the teacher in advance.
3.	作業 Homework	20%	1.有寫生字、語法和寫短文的作業。 2.準時交作業。遲交扣10分，超過一週以上不收，以0分計算。 3.作業請寫在Ａ4活頁紙上。 4.每份作業都計分。要是遲交、缺交或少寫超過一個部分，則該項作業零分。 1) This includes Chinese character writing and some other assignments, such as writing narrations. 2) All assignments must be handed in on time. 10 points will be deducted for late homework. Assignments not received within one week past the due date will receive a grade of ZERO. Submit your work ahead of time if you may miss the class of those days. 3) Please write the homework on the A4 loose-leaf papers (and only A4 papers are accepted) 4) You will receive grades for each complete homework. Incomplete homework (miss more than I item), late homework or copy of classmates' homework will receive No Grades (for both people)
4.	平時考 Test	15%	(1) 聽寫考試。聽寫內容是老師指定的詞彙和語法。老師大概念6個句子，每個句子只念3次。 (2) 每課有單元考試，包括聽力測驗與口語測驗。 This is the average of every diction and tests of each lesson. There would be diction or test EVERY TIME.
5.	期中考 Mid-term Exam	20%	1.期中考成績，包括筆試及口試。Midterm Exam includes paper test and oral test. 2.期中考僅病假者能延後考試，但須附上醫生證明。若因個人因素需要提早考試，成績將以九成計算，滿分最高只有90分。 The mid-term exams can only be postponed due to health issues, a doctor's certificate must be attached.
